TICKET SALES TIPS

 

Personal

• Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, yourself (See example personal letter)

• Sign up to sell at Safeway, Bi-Mart, Valley River Center, Oakway Center, the Lane County Fair, or the Eugene Celebration

• Give in lieu of tips at restaurants (Ask your server first if they would like a Duck Race ticket instead of cash)

• Gratuities to service providers, i.e.  hairdresser, paper delivery person, etc. (Again, ask)

• Gifts for birthdays, etc.

• Sell to those that attend your tailgater, backyard BBQ, or other event

• Have your Duck Race tickets with you when you go to your kids soccer match, football game, swim meet, ballet or piano recital, etc.

• Get your rush from buying a Duck Race ticket instead of a cup of coffee

• Get your good feelings from buying a couple of Duck Race tickets instead of drinking that bottle of wine

Business  (Check with your tax consultant about deductibility)

• Use for employee appreciation

• Use for employee motivation or incentive

• Use as a purchase incentive, i.e. buy $x.xx amount of goods or services and get a Duck Race ticket

• Send to customers thanking them for their business (See example business letter)

• Send to suppliers thanking them for their support (See example business letter)

• Make available for purchase at your place of business

Donation

• If you want your purchase of Duck Race tickets as a tax deduction, buy one or more books of tickets in the name of one or more of the recipient agencies. That way, if an agency duck wins, you increase their benefit from the Great Rotary Duck Race.
